Wet area doors are interior doors designed with exceptional water and moisture resistance. Unlike humid area doors, they are specifically recommended for rooms where humidity and moisture are constantly high, not just occasional.
Wet areas are spaces where doors are subjected to continuous moisture, direct water exposure, or humdity. In wet areas, the use of normal or humid area doors is insufficient, as these doors cannot withstand the hygrothermal conditions that arise in these spaces. Examples of such rooms are spas, wellness areas in hotels, bathrooms, and showers, in which the temperature does not exceed 45 ºC.
Westag wet area doors are not suitable for saunas.
Direct exposure to water and frequent contact with splashing water will not damage the door panel or the fittings.
The HPL surface protects the inner core of the door panel and prevents water penetration as well as the swelling and deformation of the structure.
Westag's laminate sufrace is water-repellent, extremely durable, easy to disinfect, and resistant even to aggressive cleaning agents, making it is suitable for all areas where increased cleanliness is required. In addition to the surface of the door panel, the protection of the edges is also of paramount importance. In particular, the plastic appliqué built into the lower part of the door it especially vital, effectively blocking the ingress of water.
Other key components of the door structure are corrosion-resistant fittings and a stainless steel frame.
